She was born in Park Ridge, Illinois to Erma and William Edgar Russell. She married Charles H. Scott. The couple shared many happy years together before his passing on October 7, 1997.
Wilma had several different jobs throughout her life, which included; working on an onion farm on Algonquin Road, making Gardenia corsages with Amling's Greenhouse, working as a waitress at Russell's Snack Bar and prepping food at Hapsburg Inn. Her favorite job was being a telephone switchboard operator in Des Plaines.
Wilma is survived by her children; Randy Scott, Linda (the late Joe) Mancini, Donna (late Larry) Scott, Rickey Scott (girlfriend Carrie Koeller) and Sue (Ken) Paul, in addition to her 13 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
