Alan was born on April 23, 1957 and was raised in Frost, Texas. Alan moved to Arlington to finish college at UTA and upon graduation, he then went on to become a Pharmaceutical Sales Representative.
Survivors: wife, Gretchen Yates of Arlington; parents, Namon and Jerolyn Yates of Frost; sister, Beverly Vest of Waco; and niece, Lee Ann Vest of Waco.
