Ann was born on November 2, 1950 in St Paul, MN, and grew up in San Benito, TX. She later moved to Mansfield, TX where she raised her children and watched her grandchildren grow up. Ann worked at Ray’s Pharmacy where she made lasting friendships. “Granny” has been her name for 35 years and she held that title high. She was proud of her grandchildren and spoke highly of them to her friends and anyone she encountered. She was the glue to our family and hosted all the family gatherings for many years. She loved her family and husband fiercely. She was a wild spirit with a free soul and did not filter how she felt. She enjoyed reading bible verses and learning how to get closer to Jesus. She was a die-hard Cowboys fan and was hoping to make it to a game at the new stadium but passed away peacefully watching the Cowboys win against the Lions on December 30, 2023 in her bed.
Ann is preceded in death by her husband, Charles Jim Johnston, Jr.; mother and father, Patricia and William Tilden; and her grandparents.
She is survived by her son, Johnny Mac Ford; daughter, Patty Ann Tucker; sister, Mary Robinson; brothers, Michael Tilden, and Jimmy Tilden; grandchildren, Joshua Ford, Amanda Ford, and Kailee Tucker; and 5 great-grandchildren.
