Aubrey R. Sparks

Aubrey was 73 years old, an Army Veteran in the Vietnam War, and long time resident in Arlington, Texas. Aubrey - or “Rusty” as many of his friends called him was born on September 3,1948 in Grand Prairie, Texas where he resided until he was drafted to the US Army in 1968.

After Aubrey’s honorable service in the Vietnam War, he returned back to the states where he met and married his soulmate Marilyn Boyd on October 15, 1970. They moved to Arlington, Texas where they built their lives together and raised their two children, Corey & Tammy.

Aubrey is preceded in death by his parents Aubrey and Levina Sparks.

He is survived by his loving wife of 51 years Marilyn Sparks, son Corey Sparks, daughter Tammy Brooks, son-in-law Tommy Brooks and four grandchildren: Karissa York, Ethan Sparks, Jackson Brooks, & Shelby Brooks as well as many wonderful brother & sister-in-law’s, nephews, nieces, and friends that he considered family.

Aubrey’s family has organized a memorial service to honor his life.

A visitation for Aubrey will be held Friday, April 8, 2022 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Moore Bowen Road Funeral Home, 4216 South Bowen Road, Arlington, TX 76016. A funeral service will occur Saturday, April 9, 2022 at 10:00 AM at Moore Bowen Road Funeral Home.
