Wayne was born on April 19, 1935, in Bula, Texas, to Jack and Laura Clevenger. He had a great career with Pride Oil Refinery and retired after 20 + years. After retirement, he enjoyed traveling with his wife across the country in their RV.
Wayne enjoyed gardening and was always eager to share from his garden. He collected die-cast model cars, which he had proudly displayed in his home. Wayne always had a smile on his face and loved to whistle a tune.
Wayne was a family man. He was devoted to his first wife, Carmen Clevenger (Rubal), for 22 years until her passing. He was predeceased by his second wife, Diana Clevenger (Clark), whom he was married to for forty-two years and loved very much. He loved his children, Jo Ann Clevenger and Kenneth Clevenger. He cherished and loved his granddaughter, Kimberly Holder, and grandson-in-law, Lilon Holder Jr. His great-grandchildren, Mark Holder and Madison Holder were the light of his eyes.
Wayne was the last of his brothers and sisters to pass. He left behind dozens of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. He will be dearly missed by all.
A celebration of life will be determined at a later date.
