Carol Diane Kingen, 81, of Arlington, Texas, passed away on September 11, 2025. She was born on February 7, 1944, in Irving, Texas, to John Thomas “Tommy” and Lurlene Evans. In 1964, she married Nathan “Nate” Kingen, and together they shared 54 years of marriage.
Carol worked in the accounting industry for over 50 years, retiring from Price Waterhouse and later from Derse, Inc. She will be remembered for her love of family, her dedication to her work and her joy in spending time shooting pool and throwing darts with friends.
Carol is survived by her daughters, Shannon Kingen, Kim Sims and son-in-law Paul Sims; grandchildren Karissa Smith, Zachery Sims and Aimee Torres; great-grandchildren Jensyn Burke and Ahkenao Evangeline; sisters Margaret “Maggie” Cole and Gayle Wright; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Nate, her parents, and siblings LaVerne Smithart, Mary Kolar, and John Evans; grandson Jerry Don Sims.
