Cherrie Linette Abbott Davis

Cherrie Linette Abbott Davis, age 60, of Arlington Texas, passed away peacefully May 14, 2025. Cherrie was born on December 26, 1964 in Memphis, Tennessee, to Ronald Dale Abbott and Patricia Carole Clark Abbott. She was a loving daughter, mother, and grandmother, dedicated worker, and cherished family member whose warmth and kindness touched everyone she met.

Cherrie was raised in Arlington and graduated from Bowie High School in Arlington, Texas. Cherrie went on to build a successful career with GSA, where she worked diligently in accounting for nearly 40 years. Her commitment and work ethic were an inspiration to all who knew her. Cherrie was a woman who loved life and enjoyed spending her free time engaging with her family, cooking out, spending holidays together, and country dancing.

She was a proud mother of her son, Jason Abbott, and girlfriend Samantha Goines, and loving grandmother to her beloved granddaughter, Jayden Abbott, of Arlington, Texas. Cherrie was also a caring sister of Rick Abbott and his wife Carol Abbott of Joshua, Texas, and loving aunt of Sabrina, Chris, Casey and Sammie, and Zephyr.

Cherrie was preceded in death by her mother, Patricia Carole Clark Abbott, and her brother, Kevin Abbott. She leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and kindness that will forever be remembered by her family and friends.

Cherrie’s spirit will forever remain in our hearts, and her memory will continue to inspire us to cherish life and love one another.

A funeral service for Cherrie will be held Friday, May 23, 2025 at 11:00 AM at Moore Bowen Road Funeral Home, 4216 S. Bowen Rd., Arlington, Texas 76016.
