Graveside services will be held Tuesday, December 17, 2013 at 2pm Greenview Cemetery in Greenview Community.
He was born on October 28, 1929 to Cas and Mattie Mitchell. Clovis married Theo Tanton on December 22, 1951. He was a devoted family man who loved taking care of his family. He also loved to hunt, fish and camping, Clovis was known as an amateur musician he played the guitar and fiddle. He served in the U.S Army from 1952-1954.
Clovis is preceded in death by his parents and two brothers Otis and Thurman.
Those left to cherish his memory are beloved wife Theo Mitchell, son Ray Mitchell (Emogene), two daughters Linda Batten (Michael) and Lori Mitchell. Seven grandchildren Clovis Mitchell, Bradley Mitchell, Cathy Mitchell, Jason Briggs, BJ Batten, Mitchell Batten and Jake Crawley, 4 Great-Grandchildren Caleb, Cheyenne, Rori and Raegan, and One future Great-Grandchild.
