Dale lived most of his childhood in Abilene and Tyler, Texas. He graduated from Abilene High School in 1958 and was a part of the Abilene Eagle Football, High School team of the century from 1954-57.
After High School, Dale served in the Navy and was stationed in San Diego as a dental technician for four years. He returned to Abilene, where he met his wife, Dora, who was attending Hardin Simmons University at the time. They married on August 17, 1963, and lived in Abilene, Midland, El Paso, and mainly in Arlington, TX throughout their marriage.
Dale moved his family in 1975 from El Paso to Arlington and worked for Lewis and Transfer, a subsidiary of North American Van Lines as a salesman. Later he got into the freight transportation business and worked for ET & WNC Freight Lines as a dock foreman. In retirement, Dale loved being a tour guide at the Ball Park in Arlington, the home of the Texas Rangers. He took great joy in giving the history and background of the stadium to the tourist.
Dale is survived by his wife, Dora, and son Brandon and his wife Tracy of McKinney, TX, son Damon of Southlake, TX, and wife Teri, Brother Bill of Shiner, TX, and his wife, Karen. Grandchildren Callie, Connor, Haston, Ryleigh, Kailey, Josh, Casey, Gavin, Krissy, and Faith.
Dale loved the Lord and was very proud of his faith. He was a member of Grace Community Church, where he made many great friends. Dale grew a tremendous amount into being a Godly man because of the influence of his Grace Community Church friends.
