Daniel Neil Zaugg

Dan was the sixth of nine children, born on October 28, 1944, in Rodman, Iowa, to Cornelius and Mary Zaugg.

After serving in the Navy for 3 years, Dan earned his Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Iowa State.

Dan married Rosemary Ulses of Bancroft, Iowa, on September 10, 1966. They were married for 48 years before Rosemary’s passing in 2015.

Dan and Rosemary moved to Ft Worth, Texas, in 1969 when Dan began his career at General Dynamics/Lockheed Martin. After 37 years with Lockheed Martin, Dan retired in 2006.

In 1997 Dan and Rosemary moved to Weatherford, Texas, to enjoy a little bit of country life. Dan loved to share a meal with friends. Dan will be remembered as a devoted husband, proud Poppa to his grandbabies, and hard worker.

Dan was preceded in death by his wife Rosemary, his parents, and his sister Cathleen.

Survivors include his daughters and sons-in-law, Danielle and Marc Hoffmeister and Julie and Matthew Zentell; his grandchildren, Hannah and Ray Hoffmeister and Sydney and Alexa Zentell; as well as many other loving family members and friends.

A funeral service for Daniel will be held Thursday, November 16, 2023 at 10:00 AM at Moore Bowen Road Funeral Home, 4216 South Bowen Road, Arlington, TX 76016.
