Darlene Bethine Rangnow Rowe, 76, of Arlington, Texas, passed away peacefully in her sleep on August 7, 2025. She was born on March 13, 1949, in Salinas, California, to August Rangnow and Olive Cunningham Rangnow.
Darlene had a gentle spirit and was known for her kindness and quiet nature. She possessed a quick wit and a fierce strength that she kept in reserve when needed. She found great joy in the simple pleasures of life, particularly her daily ritual of watching "Days of Our Lives," a show she faithfully followed for years.
A talented crafter, Darlene had a true gift for crochet. Her loving hands created countless hats, bags, and other beautiful items that kept her entire family warmly dressed and well-accessorized. Her artistic talents were a labor of love that touched everyone around her.
Above all, Darlene treasured her role as grandmother. She loved her grandchildren immensely and spent many devoted days caring for them, creating memories that will be cherished forever.
She was preceded in death by her parents, August and Olive Rangnow; her brother Harold; her sister Sally; her beloved husband Derryl; her granddaughter Jessica; and her faithful pet cat Nemo.
Darlene is survived by her sisters, Betty, Katherine, and Carol; her daughter, Dianne Dwyer and son-in-law, Jim Dwyer; her daughter, Jacquelyn Donaldson and son-in-law, Steven Donaldson; grandchildren, Robert and his spouse, Kelly, Johnnie, Crystal and her spouse, Roy, Jemmy and her spouse, Jeremy, Stevie, Clara, and August; great-grandchildren, Riley, Jackson, Antarese, Emma, Alric, Willow, and Kayden; along with many loving nieces and nephews.
Her legacy of love, creativity, and quiet strength will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
