Dolores Patricia Jones Skelton

Dolores Patricia Jones Skelton, 81, of Waco, Texas passed away Tuesday, April 05, 2011 at her daughter’s home surrounded by her family. Grave side service will be 3:00 pm on Thursday, April 7, 2011 at Chapel Hill Cemetery in Waco, Texas.

Dolores was born February 8, 1930, to Allen Wise Jones and Florence Leona Morris in Lott, Falls County, Texas. Dolores was active in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. She served many callings throughout her life. She graduated from Baylor University in 1981. She was a teacher in the Chilton and McGregor School Districts. She loved Cash, bridge and sports.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Jim Karroll Skelton and daughter Rebecca Lynn Skelton Gropp. She is survived by sister, Allene Jones, of Houston, Texas; son, Lloyd Skelton and wife Lynda of San Antonio, Texas; daughters, Patricia Throckmorton and husband Gene of McKinney, Texas, Kathy Gilland and husband Drew of Arlington, Texas, and Dinah Seago and husband Steve of San Antonio, Texas; and son-in-law, Chris Gropp of Waco, Texas. She has 21 grandchildren and 40 great-grandchildren who lovingly called her Memema.
