Eleanor M. Tatsch, age 81 of Arlington, passed away on February 4, 2018 at her home with family by her side. She was born on December 7, 1936 in Mauston, Wisconsin, the daughter of Harold Flanders and Viola O’Connor Flanders. Eleanor married William D. Tatsch, Jr. and they celebrated 51 years of marriage on February 3.
Eleanor is survived by her husband, William D. Tatsch, Jr.; sons William D. Tatsch III and wife Sally, Michael W. Kreeger and wife Laurie; and granddaughter Collin Tatsch.
Eleanor was an active member of the Beta Sigma Phi Sorority for 45 years. Eleanor worked as a supervisory realty specialist for many years for the U.S. Government, and was stationed at Ft. Belvoir, where she met her husband. After moving to Texas, she became active with a high school student exchange program, serving 23 years as regional director for Texas and Oklahoma. In her spare time, she enjoyed traveling the USA and world with her husband, casino gambling, painting, pottery, and family camping.
Funeral service 10:30am Monday at Moore Bowen Road Funeral Home. Interment to follow at Dallas Fort Worth National Cemetery. Visitation Sunday 2-5pm, also at the funeral home.
