Erma Kathleen Chapman, of Joshua, Texas passed away on Thursday, September 28, 2023, at the age of 80. She was born on March 22, 1943, in Salina, Kansas, to Perry J. Carr and Wanda Russell Carr. She has four siblings: Perry Edward Carr, Wilma Carr, Doris Henry, and Steve Carr.
She attended college at Arlington State University. She and Gary traveled, living in Alaska and New Mexico before settling in Arlington. After exploring a few careers, Kathy loved most teaching sign language to children.
She loved to joke and laugh. She loved Jesus and her family.
She is now in heaven with her husband, Gary Lee Chapman. They had two sons, Brian Chapman, spouse Amy, and Brett Chapman. She has ten grandchildren and many nieces and nephews whom she loved very much.
A visitation for Erma will be held Friday, October 6, 2023 from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Moore Bowen Road Funeral Home, 4216 South Bowen Road, Arlington, TX 76016. A graveside service will take place Saturday, October 7, 2023 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Moore Memorial Gardens, 1219 North Davis Drive, Arlington, TX 76012.
