

Gary Edwin Southern passed away June 2nd, 2022. He was born November 20th, 1963 at Parkland Hospital two days before President John F Kennedy was shot and brought to the same hospital in Dallas, Texas. Gary's father was Gary E Southern of Tool, Texas and his mother was Willa Dean McCombs of Waco, Texas.
Gary was preceded in death by his father Gary E Southern; grandfather JB Fowler; grandmother Juanita Callaway, and grandparents Mr.& Mrs.J.B. Wylie. He was also preceded in death by his loving "Paw" Kenneth R Huckeba and brother Donnie W Renfrow.
Gary is survived by his daughter Kaylee Southern and significant other Jamey Moore, three grandchildren Hayden Lee Harris, Kyle Eli Slovak, and Mylah Lucille Moore; mother Willa Dean McCombs; brothers Jesse Bean and Josh McCombs, and Gary's extended loving family "Maw" Joyce Huckeba; sister Darla Channell and brother-in-law Bobby; brother Billy Renfrow & sister-in-law Joan; as well as many nieces, nephews, and lots of friends that he thought of as family.
Gary spent most of his life in Grand Prairie and Arlington. He worked for Fabral in Ft. Worth Texas as a machinist for over 20 yrs. Gary loved to fish with his two long time friends Parrish and Ronnie. He also loved the Dallas Cowboys, spending holidays with his family, watching the game, and of course "Gettin His Grub On". He also loved riding his Harley and spending time with his daughter Kaylee & his grandchildren. They were his pride and joy. Gary had a heart of gold but he was very hard headed. He will be missed dearly. Until we will see you again have fun fishing with "Paw".
Special thanks to his sister Darla, Joan and Justin for taking him to his doctor appointments and the grocery store runs for him for all that milk (he loved his milk!). Also special thank you to Dr.John W.Adams and the hospice nurses for making his last days comfortable. R.I.P. "Little Gary"
