Harold Lee Roy Williams

2 octubre, 1933 – 1 diciembre, 2024
Obituario de Harold Lee Roy Williams
EN EL CUIDADO DE

Moore Bowen Road Funeral Home

Harold Lee Roy Williams of Arlington, Texas passed away on Sunday, December 1, 2024, at the age of 91. He was born on October 2, 1933, in Turnersville, Texas, the only son of Virgie and U.D. Virgie Williams. He grew up initially in the Gatesville, Texas, area, then to Arizona and Grand Prairie for schooling, ending up in Arlington, Texas.

He was an academic scholar, as well as a star athlete in football and basketball in Grand Prairie. He then went to North Texas State University, obtaining a bachelors degree in Business Management, with a minor in Psychology.

He was a student of Ross Perot's at Texas Instruments in Dallas, Texas, and Lockheed in the computer division. He attributes much of his success to his training at those two institutes. He was a Boy Scout as a young man, obtaining the rank of Eagle Scout, and a veteran, having served his country in the U.S. Coast Guard for several years.

In 1955, he married the love of his life, June Powell. From that marriage two beautiful children were born; Kimberly Leigh and Craighton Carlton.

Harold never met a stranger and was gifted with an amazing personality, which drew all walks of life to him, both in his personal life and business career.

His extremely successful career was in computer software sales. Before his retirement in approximately 2005 he built and sold 5 national and/or international corporations. He traveled extensively and never let an issue both personal and/or corporate go unsolved at day's end. He enjoyed the good life and worked hard to enjoy it and provide it for his family.

He was an avid sports fan- he loved deep sea fishing, exercising, fancy race cars, animals, good home-cooked meals, and the finer things in life, but most of all he loved being with his family and being "home".

He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife of 50 years, June.

He is survived by his younger sister, Betsy, and her husband, Boyd McKelvain, and their family.

He is also survived by his daughter, Kim, and her husband, Tim Keeton, and his granddaughter, Kendall, and three step-grandchildren, Kacie, Sara, and Clint.

Also surviving is his son, Craig, and his wife, Kathy, along with three grandsons, Collin, Clayton, and Christopher.

Additionally, he is survived by many nieces, nephews, friends, and one forever friend, Jan.
