James Donald Davis

James Donald Davis passed away on September 7th, 2025, at his home in Arlington. He was preceded in death by his parents Johnny Dean Davis & Lily Mae Davis. James had many friends and family, he had 3 step-children Jennifer Powers White, Christine Crippen, Sarah Cason. He had 2 grandchildren Caden & Coryn & their grandmother Susan Davis. He had two sisters Janice Dollgener & Jo Gardner and her husband Hayes Gardner. He had many nephews and nieces and many close friends. James was known by James, Uncle Jimmy and many friends referred to him just as JD.

James was born in Bonham, Texas on March 7, 1949. He graduated from Sam Houston High School in 1967. The week after his graduation he joined the Marine Corps & went to Vietnam. He returned home with full military honors. James loved fishing, duck hunting and attending family dinners. He loved that cornbread dressing & deviled eggs! He enjoyed fishing with David Booher, Johnny Nance & David Blackman at Joe Pool lake & other spots. James volunteered for the Salvation Army on holidays & he also delivered meals to the elderly homebound. James loved the Texas Rangers baseball team and loved talking baseball. HE LOVED his grandchildren and nieces, nephews and Great nephews and nieces and followed them through their sports. He also had 2 Great Great Nieces! James will certainly be missed by his very dear and close friend Janet Brown.

Burial will be on September 25, 2025 at 3:15pm
