Deport, Texas to the late Herbert and Jaunita Ryan on May 10, 1945. Resided in Arlington, Texas for 48 years. Was an electrician, truck driver, mechanic, security guard and general "Jack of all trades". Served in the National Guard for one year and U.S. Army for two years retiring as Sergeant.
He loved his family and taking grandkids and great grandkids for rides in the buggie. Enjoyed driving in the country and camping at the lake with family. Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 52 years, Barbara. His children, James Ryan and wife Gayle of Alvarado; Carol Helton and husband, Wade of Post; Karen Whitlow and husband Joseph. Eleven grandkids and nine great grandkids and many other extended family members. James was preceded in death by his parents, Herbert and Juanita Ryan; son, Jerry Ray Ryan; two brothers; Herbert Ryan and Perry Lee Ryan and one sister; Minnie Ryan. He will be dearly missed.
