Jennifer was a beautiful vivacious soul taken from us all on April 18th by a careless hit and run driver. Born May 31, 1995, she was just five weeks shy of her sweet sixteenth birthday. Jennifer had planned to celebrate this milestone with great frivolity at Scarborough Faire. She received an early birthday present on April 17th of her very own horse. Jennifer was a talented artist, singer, poet, musician and avid reader. Learning to barrel race was her next great adventure. She had a big heart and always went out of her way to please and help others. She had chosen to become a veterinarian, though her boundless ambition and zeal for exploration meant anything was possible. Sometimes courageous as a lion and other times a delicate as a snowflake, she always made us laugh and marvel at such great potential God rolled into one child. Words cannot describe the tremendous loss we are suffering.
I know that she is in heaven riding a colorful painted horse. When we too go there, we will listen for hoof beats and her delightful laughter.
Jennifer's parents are Thad and Laura Herring, She has an older brother, John Paul Locklear and younger brother, Charles Herring, each of whom along with her many friends will miss her greatly..
