Jerry Lee Billingsley

Jerry grew up in the Dublin and Stephenville areas and helped with the family business before moving to Arlington in 1968. Jerry was a graduate of Tarleton State University where he excelled in both academics but also as a star tennis player. Jerry worked for LTV and later went into sales for Fulwell Motor Products, which later became Kar Products. In his spare time, Jerry enjoyed spending time with his family, visiting their lake cabin, fishing, water skiing, traveling, and cars.

Jerry is survived by his son, Brent Lee Billingsley; grandson, Landon Lee Billingsley; the mother of his son Elaine (Cason) Stoker; stepchildren, Shelsea Sanchez and Geven Sanchez. Jerry was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Leslie Purvis Billingsley.

A private committal service of Jerry’s ashes will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers and in honor of the mental illness that Jerry experienced, the family encourages everyone to be supportive of others with mental illness and offer help, and to always remember to never give up.
