Joan’s earliest ambitions were to be a teacher and mother. She lived her life loving her children, maintaining our home, and being kind to the people in her life. She also enjoyed spending time with her family, watching Hallmark movies, and collecting Charles Dicken’s Christmas Village pieces and Old World Christmas ornaments. Her proudest family moments were the birth of her son, Thomas and her daughter, Robin. Joan hoped that others learned from her through the way she expressed her love for her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. Joan remembered every special occasion and never failed to send cards to family and friends for their birthdays, weddings, or anniversaries.
A special point in Joan’s life was when she traveled the U.S. and Germany with her husband, Ed. Some of her favorite songs included The Twelfth of Never by Johnny Mathis, I Just Want to Dance with You by George Strait, and Remember When by Alan Jackson. She dearly loved her son Thomas, daughter Robin, stepdaughters Susan and Tina, grandchildren Angela, Lindsay, Peyton, Jessica, Jaimee, Josh, and Jeremy and all her great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Robin Paine Fryer and stepdaughter Susan Tepera Nothiger.
She is survived by her husband of thirty-three plus years, Ed; son Thomas and wife Lou Anne Paine, stepdaughter Tina and husband Casey Crandall, seven grandchildren, seven great grandchildren and two siblings, Janet Hendren and Joyce Swanson.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Joan’s honor to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.moorebowenroad.com for the Tepera family.
