Joshua Michael Godfrey

Joshua Michael Godfrey, age 31, passed away on Friday, June 2, 2017 in Fort Worth. Joshua is the son of Michael James Godfrey and Melody Ann McIntosh. He was born on April 9, 1986 in Arlington Texas. He attended high school at both Martin High School in Arlington, Tx and Comanche High School in Comanche, Tx. He also attended Tarrant County College in Fort Worth, and Universal Technical Institute in Houston, Tx. He married Melissa Ann South on October 6, 2012 in Arlington, Tx.

Josh fought Cystic Fibrosis throughout his life, but did not let the disease dictate the terms of his life. He enjoyed customizing and shooting his rifles, driving hot rods, and riding dirt bikes. Josh also enjoyed lifting weights and body building. His determination and the strength of his will enabled him to do more than expected, and he has left an undeniable mark on everyone he came into contact with.

Josh is survived by: his wife Melissa; parents Mike and Melody; brothers Casey and Dylan; grandparents Jack and Patricia Godfrey, and Charlsie Vasek; and numerous extended family and friends.
