Margaret was born February 23, 1939 in Wray, CO. to Fred Woodall Lashmet and Clara Ann Good-Lashmet. In 1957, she graduated from high school in Denver, CO with honors for which she received a four year scholarship to the University of CO. On August 23, 1957, just two months after graduating HS, Margaret married Dan Robert Jackson who had just graduated from CU. Giving up her scholarship, Margaret and Dan moved to St. Louis, MO for his first job. Margaret began what would be the beginning of their almost 52 years together as a loving wife and home maker.
Margaret absolutely loved hosting get togethers with her family and friends. She also took great pleasure in traveling on the many trips she and Dan took especially to keep up relationships all over the US. Together, they traveled to all 50 states, and visited all the presidential libraries. Margaret helped to instill the importance of education in both of her children, and helped get both through college. The absolute light of her life were her grandchildren.
