

Marlene Mary Sullivan transitioned peacefully and went to be with the Lord on May 12th 2020. Marlene was 98 years old and was preceded in death by her husband Marvin, her twin sister Arlene Barnett and her parents John and Lottie Nieman.
Marlene was born and grew up in a small farming community, Potter Kansas. She met her husband at a church picnic and after a courtship, they married and moved to Kansas City. Later they moved to California to be closer to her twin sister and husband where Marlene worked at Lockheed Aircraft. In 1951 Marlene and her husband moved to Dallas TX to start a family and eventually moved to Arlington, TX in 1957. In Arlington, they raised their 2 sons and Marlene was a stay at home mom until they both were in High School. Marlene started working in Sears Catalog department where she was a top Sales Associate for over 20 years. Marlene attended Northwest Christian Church in Arlington where she participated in the women’s Bible study group.
Marlene loved her sons, dogs, grandchildren, great grandchildren and all her family unconditionally, she would do anything for her family. She made friends easily and had a quick wit, she was always making everyone around her smile. Marlene was known for her amazing pies (everything made from scratch). Family favorites were Cherry, Coconut and Chocolate meringue.
Marlene is survived in death by her sons, John Sullivan and his wife Ingrid, Dan Sullivan and his wife Margaret, nephews, nieces, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
