Service: Tuesday, July 28, 2015, 11am at St. Vincent De Paul, visitation will be prior to service. Interment will be Wednesday, July 29, 2015, 10:30am at the DFW National Cemetery, Dallas, Texas.
Born in Bath, Maine, Mary was raised in the outskirts of Boston. She married her husband of 42 years, Richard Gerrek, in the fall of 1972. They spent the early years of their marriage in New Hampshire, moving briefly to South New Jersey before settling in Arlington in 1990.
Mary was an active craftswoman who loved to crochet, sew and knit; she was also an active shopper and loved to buy gifts for her family, especially her grandchildren. She had a deep and abiding love for her family and her dogs.
Survivors: Her memory is kept alive by her husband, Richard; her children and their spouses, sons, Rick Jr., Mark and his wife, Micaela, and daughter, Beth and her husband, Lenny; her grandchildren, Cole, Macey, Kaylie, Cantyn and Declan; as well as other family members and friends.
