Randall Lynn Parsons

Funeral: 9 a.m. Thursday, April 5, 2012 at The Church On Rush Creek. Interment will follow in Dallas Fort Worth National Cemetery at 11 a.m. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Randy was born in Liberal Kansas to parents Bob and Janie Parsons. He was a graduate of Borger High School in Texas and served our country in Vietnam as a member of the U.S. Army. Randy’s primary occupation was as a commercial construction superintendent where he lead major projects across the United States. Randy will be remembered for his love of people, his infectious smile, his love of music, and his faith in his Lord and Savior.

Randy is survived by his wife, Donna Hawthorne of Arlington; daughter - Kristy Kirkpatrick and husband Jeff of Mansfield; son, Devin Parsons and wife Candice of Mansfield; brothers, Roy Parsons of Arlington, Rex Parsons of Wichita Falls, Reggie Parsons and wife Jan of Arlington; sister, Jane Ross and husband John of Mansfield; grandchildren, Hannah Kirkpatrick, Emma Kirkpatrick, Rebekah Kirkpatrick, Hayley Parsons, Victoria Parsons, Olivia Parsons; plus, many other cousins, nieces, nephews, grand nieces, grand nephews, and friends.

2 Corinthians 5: 6-7, “So we are always of good courage. We know that while we are at home in the body we are away from the Lord, for we walk by faith, not by sight. Yes, we are of good courage, and we would rather be away from the body and at home with the Lord.”
