Robert Curtis Hand of Grand Prairie, Texas, passed away on April 23, 2026, at the age of 63. He was born on November 2, 1962, in Albany, Georgia. He graduated from Monroe High School and made a career in the auto industry at General Motors Assembly Plant in Arlington, Texas. He was a proud member of United Auto Workers union- Local #276.
He married his wife, Gail, on May 14, 1992, and they raised four children together.
Robert enjoyed spending time fishing, bowling, and traveling.
He is survived by his wife of almost 34 years, Gail Hand, and his children, Brian Hand, Remi Hand, Yolanda Curry, Willie Gibson, Jr., his grandchildren, Tila Gibson, Tiarra Curry, C'iare Gibson, Cyrus Gibson, Alyanna Gibson, and Branson Gibson, and his brother, James Hand.
Funeral services will be held on May 12, 2026, at 11:00 AM at Peace Baptist Church, 4000 Covington Hwy., Decatur, Georgia, 30032.
