

Robert “Bob” James Hicking, age 87 of Arlington, passed away on March 5, 2017 at his home, with his family at his side. He was born on August 24, 1929 in Philadelphia, PA, the son of Edward Arnold Hicking, Sr. and Evelyn Egan HIcking.
Bob is survived by his wife of 64 years, Emma; their children Cynthia Hicking Ruiz and husband Winfred, Debbie Revis and husband Grady, and son James Michael Pangle; six grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. Bob was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, and his son Eddy Pangle.
Bob was a faithful Catholic man and was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Arlington. Bob also proudly served his country in the U.S. Army, retiring after 10 years of service, where he later worked as a compliance officer for Chevron and retired after 35 years. In his spare time, Bob enjoyed reading, museums, history, traveling, singing and dancing. His greatest joy was his family, all of whom will miss him dearly.
Funeral service will be Thursday, March 9 at 2PM at Moore Bowen Road Funeral Home, with Fr. Michael of St. Joseph Catholic Church as celebrant. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1PM until the time of service. Inurnment will take place at a later date at Ft. Bliss National Cemetery, El Paso.
