A fifth generation Texan, Robert was born on September 24, 1952 in Dallas, TX to Clyde Edward Rau and Jessie Mae (Harry) Rau.
As a proud third generation A & M "Aggie", Robert was also very active in the Boy Scout Troop 68 of Arlington.
He is survived by his loving wife of 41 years, Pamela Gail Rau; son, Derek Walton Rau; daughter, Jessica Lauren Laubenberg and husband David; precious granddaughter, Madeline Gail Laubenberg; brother, Richard H Rau and wife Eileen; niece, Regan Rau; nephew, Ryan Rau and many other Aggie and Scout friends.
Memorial Services will be held at 1:00 am Saturday, July 13, 2019 at Moore Bowen Road Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to Catholic Charities, KERA, Mission Arlington or the SPCA.
