Ron was born November 25, 1946 to John and Joe Ann Propes, who preceded him in death. As a child, Ron grew up in Hobbs, New Mexico before moving with his family to Carrollton, Texas.
Ron had one brother, John Michael "Mike" Propes. Mike passed away in July 2024.
Ron leaves behind his wife of 23 years, Jimmi M. Propes, his daughters, Laura Whale (Mathew), and Leslie Barkley (Alexander), sisters Norma Wood (Terry d. 2025), Katheryn Hejduk (William), and sisters-in-law, Kerri Mattingly and Susan Propes. Ron also leaves behind grandchildren, Christina Moss, Libby Propes, Jalynn Wilson (Chance), Alinah Barkley, Alexander Barkley, and Alexia Barkley, along with 5 great- grandsons, many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, September 6th, 2:30pm at Moore Bowen Road Funeral Home, 4216 South Bowen Rd, Arlington, TX 76016.
