Rosemary Abrams, our beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and proudly self-appointed “Chief Interrogator,” passed away on January 28, 2026, surrounded by the love she spent a lifetime giving. She was the undisputed heart of her family—revered as much for her wisdom as for her quick wit and unforgettable sense of humor.
A social butterfly in the truest sense, Rosemary never met a stranger. She made friends everywhere she went—whether in grocery store aisles, waiting rooms, or anywhere a conversation could be sparked. She lived for the moments her knees would allow her to take to the dance floor, and when she danced, she never missed a beat.
Rosemary was also the fierce and loving guardian of her family’s hearts. As the family’s “Chief Interrogator,” she famously conducted thorough (and often hilarious) interviews of any new friend, boyfriend, or girlfriend—jokingly, but firmly, making sure their intentions were good and their hearts were kind.
Her love was most often expressed through her cooking. Rosemary believed that “too much” was exactly the right amount, and her family grew accustomed to phone calls and texts announcing that she had cooked enough food for a small army and everyone needed to come get a plate. Her kitchen was a place of comfort, laughter, and connection—a reflection of who she was.
While her kitchen may be quiet now, Rosemary’s legacy of joy, generosity, laughter, and culinary abundance will live on in the many lives she touched. She is gone in body, but forever with us in spirit.
A memorial service honoring Rosemary’s life will be held Saturday, March 21, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. at Moore Bowen Road Funeral Home, 4216 S. Bowen Rd., Arlington, TX 76016.
