Senait and Haile Gebre Selassie were married for 45 years.
Senait learned English and worked in a nursing home before becoming a stay-at-home mom of four children, managing finances, food, and care.
She was proud of her Eritrean heritage.
Her hobbies were gardening and cooking. She liked gardening ALOT and cooking her famous lasagna. She also liked sewing and doing word searches.
Her kids were the most important thing to her and she loved her husband.
Before her health declined, she loved being active and busy and reorganizing.
She was thrifty and resourceful; she like to re-purpose things.
Although she did not go to college, she valued education and encouraged all her children to pursue higher education.
A Committal Service will be held at Parkdale Cemetery, 701 Mary Street, Arlington, TX 76010, US, on March 27, 2026, from 9:00 am to 9:30 am.
