Victor “Lonnie” Leon Reames II, 80, of Arlington, Texas, passed away on April 26, 2026. Born in Fort Worth, Tx, on October 11, 1945, Lonnie lived a life marked by steady courage, deep faith, and a devotion to those he loved—qualities that guided him with quiet wisdom and enduring loyalty through every season of life.
Lonnie was born to parents Victor Reames I and Charlotte Reames and grew up alongside his older sister, Patricia Farnsworth. He graduated with his Bachelors of Science from Texas Christian University in 1968, where he was a proud member of Sigma Phi Epsilon and The Frog Club. A devoted fan of the TCU football team, he held season tickets for 50 years—an unwavering tradition that reflected both his constancy and the joy he found in shared community and spirited competition.
Lonnie spent many years working for Equitable Life Insurance Company before retiring and moving into his own practice as a private financial advisor. In his work, he brought a measured steadiness and sound judgment that earned trust and reflected the thoughtful care he extended to others.
In 1979, Lonnie met Ginger at a Colonial Golf Tournament, and they eventually married on May 29, 1981, in Kerrville, Tx. Together they had three wonderful children, building a family life rooted in devotion and strengthened by the kind of loyalty that shows itself in daily presence, steadfast support, and love that endures.
Lonnie found satisfaction in simple, faithful routines—working in the yard, following football, and cheering for the Dallas Cowboys and TCU. He was also a seasoned traveler, having traveled all around the world, carrying an adventurous spirit that embraced new places and experiences with openness and gratitude.
A long-time Docent for the San Antonio Zoo, Lonnie gave generously of his time and attention, and conservation of the Earth held a special place in his heart. He was a member of St. Barnabas United Methodist Church and sung in the choir, living out his faith not only in belief, but in service and song.
Lonnie is preceded in death by his parents; Victor and Charlotte Reames, and daughter; Kelly Haigwood. He is survived by his beloved Wife Ginger Reames, Sister; Patricia Farnsworth, Daughter; Robin Reames, Son; Brian Haigwood, 10 Grandchildren, and 10 Great-Grandchildren. Lonnie’s life leaves a lasting imprint—of faithfulness, devotion, and wisdom—carried forward by all who were grateful to know and love him.
