William Allison Chalkley was born on April 16, 1930 to William Earley Chalkley and Emma Elizabeth Mattox in Hilton Village, Virginia and passed away in Arlington, Texas on June 29, 2013 at the age of 83. William is survived by Daughter Carole Paschen of Arlington, Texas, Daughter; Cindy L. Chalkley of Key West, Florida, Son; David Nash of Matthews, North Carolina. He is also survived by six grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, and a large extended family. William was preceded in death by his wife of twenty years, Catherine R. Chalkley, and his wife of twenty eight years, Edna R. Chalkley, one sister; Barbara C. Barch, and his parents, William and Emma Chalkley. William served in the United States Army, and was a long time member of Metro North Church in Goose Creek South Carolina. Memorial contributions may be made to Metro North Church Children’s Ministries at 109 Central Ave. Goose Creek, South Carolina. A memorial service and inurnment at Carolina Memorial Park will be scheduled at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of Moore Funeral Home Bowen Road Chapel, and Carolina Memorial Park.
