Ana Altagracia Hernandez

Ana Altagracia Hernandez (Tati, Ela), passed away on March 31, 2024, at her home in Maryland, surrounded by her daughter Cecilia and son-in law Pedro, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren after a brief battle with cancer. The family invites loved ones to St. Bernardine of Siena Catholic Church in Suitland, Maryland on April 13th, 2024, for a viewing at 12:00pm, followed by Mass at 1:00pm. Interment will be at Columbia Gardens Cemetery, in Arlington, Virginia, following the Mass. Tati was born on the 7th of February 1934 in Dominican Republic to Natividad and Leonora Joaquin. She loved her work and touched many lives while working at Sunshine Hair Studio in Bethesda, Maryland for over 35 years, remaining friends with many clients throughout her entire life. Tati was the sweetest soul and was loved by everyone she met. She will be remembered for her kindness and generosity. She is preceded in death by her parents, brothers Andres and Chento, sisters Modesta, Enemencia, and Ana Ramona, son Miguel, and great-granddaughter Olivia. She is survived by her daughter Cecilia, grandchildren Eric, Beraly, and Karina, great-grandchildren Jeremiah, Marley, Oliver, and Katalia, brothers Alfredo and German, sisters, Margarita, Carmen, and Christina, and many nieces and nephews whom she adored.
