Barbara Josephine Boryan

Barbara Josephine Boryan Arlington, Virginia Barbara “Jimmy” Boryan, of Arlington died Monday September 25, 2017 at her home. She was the beloved wife of Milan “Mickey” Boryan. Barbara and Mickey moved from Anaconda, Montana to Arlington, VA in 1960 where they raised their family. For 36 years Barbara enjoyed working with the Italian Store family in Lyon Village. Barbara was born in Anaconda, Montana on February 8, 1934, a daughter of the late Barbara and Frank Ferretti. She was preceded in death by 4 sisters and 3 brothers-in-law. Elva and Jack Friese, Norma and Terry Moran, Joan and John McCarvel, and Mary Anne and surviving spouse Larry “Potts” Sladich. She is survived by her 8 children, Michael Boryan, George Boryan, Deseree Miller, Gregory Boryan, Jonathan Boryan, Kimberly Gotcher, Barbara Boryan, Mark Boryan, 11 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. Friends may visit with the family at a memorial gathering at Murphy Funeral Home of Arlington, Virginia, 4510 Wilson, Blvd. on Saturday October 7, 2017 from 4-6. A memorial service at the Fort Meyer Old Post Chapel is to be determined. Inurnment with her beloved husband will follow at the Arlington National Cemetery Columbarium. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude or Hospice of Northern Va.
