On August 6, 2016, Charles Andrew Gordon died while under hospice care at Community Residences in Arlington, Virginia. “Charlie,” born on February 2, 1956, was the beloved son of Charles Gordon and the late Gabriella Gordon, also of Arlington. Despite his Down Syndrome. Charlie worked for many years as a sheltered workshop employee at Linden Services, and he recently received care from Service Source. Mr. Gordon, Charlie’s father, would like to thank the kind staff at Community Residences, Inc., The Arc of Northern Virginia, Linden Services, and Service Source for helping his son in his journey through life.me. Charlie led a life full of productive work, family, and friends. Visitation will be on Saturday, August 13, at noon at the Murphy Funeral Home in Arlington, followed by a service in the Chapel at 1:00. Interment will follow at National Memorial Park Cemetery, Falls Church, Va.
