

Chichy Peinado Keys, 89, or Arlington, sadly left us on July 9, 2024. Preceded in death by her husband Richard (Dick) and daughter Jennifer, and survived by daughter Betsy Quiroga Carlson, son Peter Keys (Dana), grandsons Ross Carlson, Richard Keys, Peter Keys, and Christopher Keys and great granddaughter Nala Carlson..
She was born in Trinidad, Bolivia in 1935 and moved to the US in 1960 where she met and married her husband, Dick, in 1963 and settled in Arlington, Virginia.
She was an active member of the Pan American Round Table, both in Bolivia and in Washington, DC since its inception, and a member of the Bolivian Ladies Association in Washington, DC. She also served on Arlington County’s Commission on Aging and was active in the Saint Agnes School Parent-Teacher Organization. Chichy was very social and was the life of the party. She spent the last few years in the Sunrise Senior Memory Care facility in Arlington.
Visitation will be at Murphy’s Funeral Home on Wilson Blvd. in Arlington, VA on Wednesday July 24, from4pm to 5:30pm (open casket) and from 6pm to 8pm (closed casket).
Her funeral mass will be held on Thursday, July 25 at Saint Agnes church in Arlington, VA at 10am. Her burial service at Columbia Gardens will be held immediately after the mass.
