Doug, 69, was born in Washington, DC, to Ernest Leon Hardt and Clara Lou (Rummell) Hardt on July 3, 1956. He married Kathleen (Erickson) Hardt in 1985 in her home town of Springfield, SD.
Doug is survived by his beloved wife Kathleen in Arlington, VA; brother Kenneth (Maribeth) Hardt, Saluda, VA; brother-in-law Jeffrey Erickson, Viborg, SD; sister-in-law Joanne Erickson (Todd Sizemore), Arlington, VA; sister-in-law Karen Erickson, Arlington, VA; widow of brother-in-law Craig Erickson, Laurie Heier (Jeff), Rawlins WY; three nephews and one niece.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
