Elizabeth Ann "Betsy" Morgan Haynes, 64, beloved wife of the late Charles F. Haynes, Jr., died Monday, October 20, 2014, at Virginia Hospital Center from cardiac arrest and complications of chronic lymphocytic leukemia. Daughter of the late Rex S. Morgan, Sr. and Luella Morgan, Betsy was born in El Paso, TX, and grew up in the Philadelphia, PA, suburbs. She moved to Northern Virginia in 1975 and worked at HUD for 27 years, retiring last year. She is survived by her mother, sister Bronwyn Vasapoli (Joe), brother Rex, Jr. (Patty), nieces Rachel Butler and Chloe Vasapoli, and nephews Tyler Morgan-Wall and John Vasapoli. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 8, at 1:30 p.m. at Vinson Hall, 6251 Old Dominion Drive, McLean, VA. Donations may be made in her memory to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.
