Betty Jean, as she was lovingly called, spent her youth in Camden, NJ where she made many lifelong friends. She moved to Silver Spring, MD after her marriage to Doug Pelton. She so enjoyed her years of traveling the world, skiing and hosting elaborate dinner parties. After the birth of her son Dean in 1990, he became the focus of her energies. She spent her free time as a chauffeur and cheerleader for all his many activities. Her work as a legal secretary was one she loved and found great fulfillment in. In recent years, she discovered "duck pin bowling.' She loved playing and spending time with her new friends on the 'Sunday Night Mixed League.'
Betty was an avid Washington Capitals fan and remained a loyal fan of all Philly sports. You could often find her sporting one of her favorite teams t-shirts or jerseys. She also found great delight in her two grandchildren and was a loving Aunt and Great-Aunt!
Betty is survived by her son, Joseph Dean (Jenny) of Alexandria, VA, her sister, Elaine Polach (Michael) of Palm Harbor, FL, grandchildren: Elizabeth Jane (Ellie) and Jackson Drew Pelton, nephews and nieces Albert Seidelmann, Kevin (Lyndsey)) Szczesniewski, Carl (Laura) Seidelmann, Cheryl (Ryan) Stephen and Kerri (Robert) Pierson. Many great nieces and nephews who she loved greatly. She was predeceased by her parents, Albert and Elizabeth (nee Curry) Seidelmann and brother Albert (Buddy).
