

Beloved husband, father and grandfather passed away on August 24. He served in the Army, fighting in the Battle of the Bulge during WW II in Belgium. Later, when he visited the site where he fought, hewas thanked by many of the townspeople for his service.
He was married to Norma Jean Magrini and celebrated 49 years of marriage. He is survived by daughter Paula Antonucci Barlowe and husband Robin Barlowe, their son Chris Barlowe and his wife Johnna Barlowe, and son John R. Antonucci and his wife Toni Antonucci and their son Rick Antonucci and his wife Glensey Antonucci. He always had a smile on his face and a twinkle in his eyes.
He loved woodworking, gardening, traveling, photography, building model airplanes and reading about airplanes. He was excellent at DIY projects and fixing all things plumbing, carpentry and electrical.
He was the former Volunteer Coordinator for the Alexandria Police Department, a
member of the American Legion, the Sons of Italy and the 75th Infantry Division
Veterans Association.
Even at 90 years old, he was active at his hobbies and in the organizations he was still involved in.
Visitation will be held at Murphy Funeral Home, 1102 W. Broad St., Falls Church on Tuesday September 2 from 4-8. Service will be at 10AM Wednesday September 3 in the chapel at Murphy Funeral Home, followed by interment at National Memorial Park.
