

On Monday, March 4, 2019, George Edward Roth of Arlington, VA passed away. Born November 17, 1951, in Mount Pleasant, PA., he was the son of the late George Edward, Sr. and Betty (Kotouch) Roth, the brother of Lori Betsock (Thomas), and the uncle of Stephen and Theresa Betsock. George also leaves behind his adopted family, including dear friend Jane Conkey and her adult children; Godson Nate Conkey and "nieces" Rachel Conkey and Emily Pickens
Professionally, George was a hotel controller who worked at various properties in the DC area, including the Crowne Plaza in Tysons Corner and most recently as a financial auditor at Interstate Hotels & Resorts in DC.
He will be remembered by many as a fun-loving guy who was a rabid fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers and Pirates. He loved watching ESPN, talking sports and sharing beers with his friends at L.A. Bar and Grill in Arlington, VA, and taking road trips with friends to Heinz Field in Pittsburgh to root for his favorite teams.
He leaves behind a wide circle of friends who miss him dearly.
A gathering of friends and family will be held at the L.A. Bar and Grill at a future date.
