Passed away peacefully at home. Survived by his beloved wife of 42 years, Nancy, and their daughter Ashleigh (Mickey) and two grandchildren. Survived by four children from his first marriage to Russell Farmer: Cindy (Barney), Wayne, Dennis (Ann) & Sandra (Wayne) and seven grandchildren.
Retired in 1986 as a Senior Vice President of Nat’l. Permanent S & L Assoc after 42 years of service. Coached baseball and basketball for 17 years in Arl. Co. youth leagues. Member of numerous service clubs and financial associations. 1954 graduate of Amer. S & L Inst. Graduate School at Indiana Univ.
Visitation will be Monday March 7 from 6-8pm at Murphy-Arlington Funeral Home at 4510 Wilson Blvd. in Arlington. After a private burial, Memorial Service will be Tuesday March 8 at 11am at Little Falls Presbyterian Church at 6025 Little Falls Road in Arlington. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to DAV, or VITAS Health Care (hospice) (checks payable to VCC and mailed to 1604 Spring Hill Rd., Suite 450, Vienna, Va. 22182).
