Ina graduated from Pfeiffer College and was retired from the Naval Patent Office. She was an avid walker and reader. She enjoyed crocheting and genealogical research.
She was predeceased by two brothers Lewis G. and James Bruce Griffin; one sister, Pauline Jones; one nephew, Joey Bivens.
Survivors include sisters Barbara Ijames (Walter) and Betty Bivens (Garland); nieces Maria Griffin, Shanna Griffin-Herman, Sara Ijames; nephew, Michael Ijames; and a sister-in-law, Yvonne L. Griffin.
Graveside services will be held at a future date in Spindale, NC.
Murphy’s Funeral Home of Arlington, VA and Crowe’s Mortuary of Rutherfordton, NC are serving the family.
