On Sunday, March 5, 2017, Jerry passed away unexpectedly. He was predeceased by his parents, Virginia and Edward Heid; son Brian, wife, Carrolline; and brother, John Heid. He will be missed by his children Aaron and Cathlena; granddaughters, Destiny, Ida, and Carmen; brothers, Edward and Robert; his sister, Emma; and his best friend, Tim Leonard. Jerry is also survived by his aunt Betty; his cousins of the Humphrey family as well as many nieces and nephews. Jerry was a grandpa nonpareil and a master roofing specialist with clients in the metropolitan area. All those touched by Jerry's love and his life are welcome to join the family from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. for viewing with a service celebrating his life at 1 p.m., on Saturday, March 11, 2017 at Murphy Funeral Home, 4510 Wilson Blvd., Arlington, VA 22203.
