Jerry E. Catlin

Jerry Edward Catlin, 75, of Irving, Texas, a good and faithful servant, went to be with his Lord on July 21, 2018. He leaves behind his wife, Vicki Lynn Catlin; his daughter, Angela Michelle Reed and husband Stephen Eric Reed of Mobile, Alabama, and their two children, Mackenzie Xavier Reed and Samantha Paige Reed; his son, Raymond Edmond Catlin and wife Tara Catlin of Coppell, Texas, and their four children, Caden Bear Benedict, Gabriel Lee Benedict, Cade Edmond Catlin and Corie Elizabeth Catlin; sisters, Sharon Klein, Pat Ewton and Brenda Swafford; brothers, Charles W Collison and Dennis C Catlin.

Jerry is preceded in death by sister, Carolyn Brown and brothers, Donald Mack Catlin, Joseph Collison, David A Catlin and Jack R Catlin.

Jerry was born and raised in Ringold, Georgia, to the late Raymond Arthur Catlin and Anna Louise Lyle Catlin. Jerry married the love of his life, Vicki Lynn Amburgey in1972. Vicki and Jerry shared a beautiful life together and later renewed their vows in 1987. Jerry was a veteran of the United States Army and will be remembered for his strong work ethic, outspoken personality and sense of humor. Jerry never met a stranger and formed many meaningful relationships while working in various positions throughout his life in northern Virginia. Jerry was an active member of Arlington Church of Christ and most recently a member of Beltline Road Church of Christ in Irving, Texas.

A funeral service will be held on Thursday, July 26 at 11am at Arlington Church of Christ in Arlington, Virginia, with burial immediately following in Manassas, Virginia, at Stonewall Memorial Gardens.
