

Jack was born January 14, 1940 in Glen Cove, New York to John and Leona Ludwick but left at age one and grew up in the Finger Lakes region of New York in Union Springs.
He was an Eagle Scout earning his God and Country award, senior class president, valedictorian, inducted his high school Athletic Hall of Fame, was a member of the Syracuse Glee Club performing around the country, a member of Acacia fraternity, Mensa, IEEE, Tau Beta, and numerous other honor societies. He enjoyed his profession as a systems at the MITRE Corporation, and was also a gifted writer and storyteller who maintained a website (jludwick.com) of his stories for over 25 years.
Among his diverse interests in his early life he was a magician who along with a classmate performed shows for the community. As an adult he created multiple works in stained glass, plus being a voracious reader he became a World II War Scholar, was a lover of diverse kinds of food and fine wines, and was a long time supporter of the arts.
He was preceded in death by his parents and younger sister Christine. He leaves behind his loving wife and soulmate, Betty Lou, of nearly sixty years and his sister Judy.
