

Marietta D Bryant was born on February 18, 1934 in Richmond VA. to Edward Dailey Sr. and Lillian Jones Dailey. Marietta was one of five children born to this union. She is predeceased by her sisters Antoinette Dailey Williams and Gladys Dailey Petty and her brother Edward Dailey Jr. She is survived by her sister Lillian Williams.
Marietta graduated from Saint Joseph's High school and furthered her education at Virginia Union University. There is where she met the love of her life, the late Dr. John (Jack) Bryant whom she married in February 1960.
Marietta was a devoted mother and wife. She started her family in Washington, D.C. while Jack was in dental school at Howard University. There is where Jacqueline and Quincy were born. They later moved to Racine, Wisconsin where Michael was conceived. After Jack's passing she moved her family back to the Washington DC area where she re- entered the workforce as a business manager at Howard University. She then eventually retired from the University of MD.
Marietta always put the well-being of her family and friends first. She was a great strength to those around her. She was always ready and willing to help anyone in need. Her faith in God carried throughout her life in all that she did.
She leaves to cherish her memories her three children, Jacqueline, Quincy and Michael, her granddaughter Jessica, her sister Lillian, sisters-in-law Maymie, Rose and Emily, in addition to countless nieces and nephews, family members and friends
She will forever be in the hearts of everyone that she has touched.
