Robert Matthew "Matt" Hickerson, 22, died October 30, 2013 at his home in McLean, VA. Matt was a 2010 graduate of the Landon School, where he played tuba in the symphonic band. He attended the University of California-Davis.
Matt is survived by his parents, David and Caroline Smoak Hickerson, and his sister, Jennifer Hickerson, all of McLean; grandparents Mrs. Gordon Smoak of Wilkesboro, NC and Norris and Barbara Hickerson of Hertford, England; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
A service will be held at 11 am Monday, November 4, 2013 at St. Mary's Episcopal Church, 2609 N Glebe Road, Arlington, VA. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Bishop John T. Walker School for Boys, 3640 Martin Luther King Jr Avenue SE, Washington, DC 20032.
